Free Legal Resources for 2017

To start your new year with planning for your personal and legal matters, we offer these free legal resources related to estate planning, special needs and elder law, and all our practice areas.

  • Visit the Client Worksheets and Resources section of our website for general information on a number of legal topics.  Several of our Info Sheets are written by Christenson Johnson attorneys and are related to specific topics of interest to our clients.
  • Begin your estate planning with a health care power of attorney.  Everyone age 18 or older should have a power of attorney to designate a substitute decision maker if you become unable to make medical decisions for yourself.  Start by reviewing the standard form provided by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.  Depending on your circumstances and wishes, you may choose to complete the standard form, or you may wish to consult with an attorney at Christenson Johnson to learn about customizing your health care power of attorney and other advance directives.
  • Attend a seminar or workshop presented by Christenson Johnson attorneys–we announce upcoming presentations on our News and Events.  If you are part of a group of professionals, advisors, or advocates for estates and trusts, special needs and disability planning, or topics related to elderly populations, we would be happy to offer a seminar for your group on a topic of interest to you.
  • The Wisconsin State Law Library offers a variety of court forms and guides for individuals seeking information on legal topics.  While free forms and guides can give you an overview and starting point on a particular topic, many clients find the legal advice and knowledge of a Christenson Johnson attorney to be invaluable in successfully and efficiently navigating a legal matter.
  • If you need an attorney to advise you in planning for what’s next in your estate planning, special needs situation, or elder law matter, you may contact the law offices of Christenson Johnson, LLC to arrange a potential client telephone call with one of our attorneys.  This introductory call of 10-15 minutes is free and gives you a chance to learn more about whether we offer the services you need, how we handle various matters, and how to prepare for your first meeting with an attorney.
